Its always better you try to smell them your self. BTW, how can smell be funny, it can be dirty or pleasant.

People often smell like certain ingredients in the food they eat. Since people from India have generally a different diet from people of other cultures, I imagine that many of them have a different smell from what you are used to. Whether or not you think this is "funny" is up to you.

smell is subjective. it could be pleasant to me, while it is unpleasant to you. but i get what you mean. they smell that way because of the spicy foods they eat. spicy foods could make you perspire a lot. imagine, underneath the turban they wear on their heads is full of sweat. so, that explains the smell you're talking about.

ALL COUNTRIES SMELL DIFFERENTLY, AS DO THE PEOPLE TOO. I IMAGINE ITS FROM OUR DIFFERENT DIETS. THIS IS VERY NOTICEABLE WHEN YOU FIRST ARRIVE VIA BOAT OR PLANE INTO A NEW COUNTRY.

They definitely stink, I had an Indian landlord. Maybe it's the curry or lack of hygiene, I dunno (and let's not go into how cheap they are). Negroes definitely exude a different odor than us. It might be due to their larger sweat glands. Then again, I heard that other races say we smell like bologna :)
