Milwaukee Brewers did it. Reason I know that is from a movie called Mr. 3000 which said they cannot use a player at DH b/c they are NO LONGER IN THE AL. Hope that helped!

The Milwaukee Brewers moved from the AL to the NL as part of the expansion and realignment prior to the 1998 season. The change of leagues was approved following the 1997 season and went into effect immediately, as the Brewers were considered an NL team for the expansion draft in November 1997.

Prior to that, we'd have to look back to the 19th century, when leagues and constituent teams were more protean.
