I am a Voter... I appreciate my rights and take advantage of them.
I want to know. Why do people/americans actually complain about what is going on in our Goverment but they dont take the time or energy to vote for what they believe in?

You've got that right!! It's disgusting that they do all this complaining and endless whining and then to find out they didn't even vote! It's a freedom we paid a high price for and it's abused so bad! When they elected in our Congress only 21% of the democrats even voted and only 19% of the republicans! They might as well not even had an election! And they've made it so easy now for anyone to vote!

I'm a very political person. I express my views often, and sometimes more vocally than my friends may like. They are often shocked to find out I don't make a habit of voting. I have, and I do, when there is actually someone to vote for who represents what I believe in.

Since this is usually on the presidential level, I'm going to focus on that. Let's take the last election. The major issue was Iraq. First off, Iraq was not MY primary issue. There were other things I cared about more, but neither candidate expressed my views on the issue. Nor was either candidate strong in foreign affairs, my primary voting issue. Just to broad issues to start things off.

I support Gay Marriage. Neither candidate did. I am pro-choice, Kerry was...kinda. I support school vouchers. Bush did. I favor flat income taxes, neither candidate did.

If you get where I'm going with this is that just because some people choose not to vote for the lesser of two evils does not mean we are ignoring our rights. Sometimes to abstain from doing something makes a point as well. Remember that also among our rights is the right to speak out against politics we are opposed to, regardless of whether we voted.

I didn't feel comfortable voting for either candidate in the last election. I fully realize that no candidate will ever completely match my beliefes, but in this past election there were no candidates that even more or less matched them. In a way by not voting I DID vote for what I believed in, and that was neither candidate on the ticket.

If you live in a state like Texas, it is a waste of time to vote because you know Republican will win. I am talking about Presidential election. In some state Democrat always win, in some state Republican always win. Only a few states that are splitted, only in those states that your vote matter.

I do vote, everyone, voting or not has the right to address their greivances (complain) some people, like illegal immigrants and ex-cons (and current convicts) don't have the right. I'll complain for them.

No taxation without representation!
No democratic soveriegnty without universal emancipation.

I should NOT VOTE in protest of these elections shams we HAVE been having!!!

Yes I do vote.

I believe that our constitution allows for every citizen to be entitled to voice their view!

I know our constitution is being attacked here by the Democrats and the Republicans but it still IS our constitution!
