I live in California and was wondering, when I take my drivers test, how fast/slow can I exceed the speed limit and not fail?

If you're serious about passing the test, you won't exceed the speed limit or go below it. If you treat this as a game, they might feel you're too immature to deserve a license.

you want to do it exactly the limit that is posted during the test but, in Ky. where I live we have like a 5 mph grace so if the posted speed is 35 we won't get pulled over for going 40! Only we knew better than to try to get away with that during the actually test! we went to posted and you probably should too if ou actually want to walk away with your picture in plastic!

If you're taking a test, drive the limit, at least. You're being judged so be as careful to obey the laws as you can.
