The whole thing is confusing. Why even do the duet? Reba butchers the song. I don't really respect Clarkson, but Kelly is just 10 times better on the original.
Reba is turning into the country version of Bette Midler.

As for the Mother And Daughter Thing I'm Not Sure The Man Role Is That He Is A Treats Women Like Dirt He Feel He Can Have Any Women In The Song Kelly Plays The Role Of A Bitten Women By The Man Reba Role Is Of An Older Women Who Was There Once Who And She Found A Way To Get Rid Of The Man Now She Trying to Help Kelly Out And They Are Telling The Man Because Of You I am This Way I Am Scared I am Afraid And It Is Her Cry For Help That Is Why She Says She Watch Him Died Because She Need Help She Wants To Get Away And Don't Know How

I got the impression that Reba was a mother figure to the younger Kelly but there was nothing she could do because they were just friends and partners. That's my interpretation, anyway.

Mother figure....the man is doing Kelly the same way someone did Reba, and she can't get Kelly to open up her eyes and not make the same mistake she did....I guess????
