Today in english I was doing my homework and the two senior class tutors were behind us talking. They were talking kinda loud and I listened in. You expect AP students and tutors to be good kids, but these kids were talking about not telling their parents that they do drugs and stuff like that! Is it just me, or does almost the whole high school population smoke and do drugs? I'm only a freshman, and I'm scared!

No, I don't do that kind of stuff, and I'm not planning to, but do that many people say yes! I'm amazed, I thought it was just a small group, but it seems like it's everybody! I know that I can say no, but I didn't think it was such a big thing!

I used to have AP classes back in high school and I hate to say it but our bunch was the worse. They did the worse kinds of drugs, drinking, stupid stuff, and cheated on tests the most. Yep, it's true.
But here's the thing. High school is a little bit like how the world is. People are going to do stupid stuff and it's up to them. That's because there is free will. So you have a choice and you don't have to do it. I never did drugs and it never bothered me that they were in my class. Don't let it bother you. And remember not to judge them too much. Everyone is here on a journey. And trust me, they will learn their lessons. Maybe not in high school but definitely down the line.

The Lord wants us not to judge each other. You and I both have enough business to take care of, rather than worry about folk who are foolish. Yes, I am depressed at times. The way that this world is going, one couldn't help but be depressed. I already know that you are quite intelligent OR you wouldn't be on this website asking for help. You must put GOD first and you and your family must be second. All others have to wait, if they require anything from you. When you know and realize how valuable you are, then you will feel better about yourself and your interactions. DO NOT take the medication Prozac - My research of over 20 years, shows that this medication is too strong. Folk have taken it who never were violent, then they became aggressive and some committed suicide. Remember this, everyone is not honest. Some of this population that we live in, has been experimented upon. This is widely practiced in various "jail communities." Read materials from Dr. Mehmet Oz, Dr. Cass Ingram and Kevin Trudeau - Their alternative, yet proper approach, to many ailments including "depression," will be of great assistance and help to you. I wish for you to be well and acquire the happiness that you deserve. Read Psalm 35 (Plead My Cause) - It is a long-winded and worthwhile psalm that addresses that which is known and that which is unknown. Then the Lord will take your sincere plea and give you the aid that you need. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. BEFORE you enter any home or building, quietly say "Peace Be To This House." - Luke 10:5. Those who are on the premises won't know why they are so peaceful, but you will. I wish you Peace, Love and God's Blessings.

Scared is an appropriate response to drugs. You are fine. What you need to know is that you are just fine the way you are and always will be if you can stay true to yourself. That means that if you don't want to do drugs, then you must not allow anyone to talk you into trying them -- I don't care if it's the cutest guy on campus or the most popular girl, I don't care if it's an AP or even a teacher, I don't care if it's a parent or a cop -- give no one the authority to make you do what you do not want to do.

Smile and know that you are so far above them. So much smarter to. Don't become a victim of peer pressure. If your afraid someone might plant something on you and you get caught offer to do a drug test on the spot. Don't worry to much though, most teachers are aware of who uses and who doesn't. High School will be the best years of your life. Find friends that think like you do. Good Luck

i can promise you that not everyone at your school does drungs. however, when i was in high school i did realize more people did than what i thought. also, that doesnt necessarily make them bad people. a lot of them will probably mess around for a while and then realize that's not what they want. some wont. try not to be too scared. and if you go out with some friends that you dont know too well, make sure you dont need to depend on them for a ride home. im sure you'll make some friends who feel the same way you do about it. i wish ya luck in high school.

You should definitely report what you heard to school officials. The people who do drugs can really mess up their lives. You'll be doing them a favor if you tell the school officials so they can get help now. I used to know a girl who did drugs in my high school and I didn't report it; now I really regret it.

No, most kids don't do drugs, even though it might seem like that. You should definitely share your fears with your parents. They can help you come up with ideas about what you can do if anyone offers you drugs, and how to avoid them.

You seem like a really good girl. Keep it up!

Yeah, I live in a town as small as 5,000 people... and almost 75% of the kids either smoke or drink or do drugs...

Im not one of them thankfully...

I look at it this way... some day in the future, I will go to college, get a good paying job... and then one day I will go to the grocery store and find a few of my old high school buddies and they will be asking me paper or plastic...
or i will see them at a restaurant, and they will be taking my orders....

You have to be apathetic towards those situations...
your doing good, just avoid the situation alltogether, and youlll make it out fine...

I know that when I was in school a lot of my peers used drugs so I would imagine that even more use drugs now-a-days. But don't worry about it, because as long as you say no, that's all that matters.

Not all kids do drugs but it is a time in a persons life where they do a lot of experimenting.
Stay away from it as much as possible.
The kids from my high school who "partied" a lot, are still living in my crappy town with crappy jobs.
Be true to who you are, you will never regret "not doing drugs".
