Slandering a 4-star United States General by calling him General "Betraeus" demonstrates to moderate swing voters just how incredibly radical these people are whom Hillary Rodham and Barack Half-Black Obama are beholden to.

Hopefully, I pray to GOD that most of the moderate swing voters will finally see the dangers of the extreme left and the democrats. But I'm not willing to steak any money on that one. Most people are so gullible and easily duped by the left wing propaganda, it makes me think there is no hope for the future of this country.

If you're paying attention to political ads right now you aren't on the fence. So I doubt it does anything for either party.

Democrats will hurt themselves every time they open their mouths when the rest of the country does start to pay attention. They think they won, but in reality the Republicans lost a few key races due to scumbag politicians and the consituency in those districts made it clear they did not appreciate the encumbent.

Republicans aren't a lot better as their base has had enough of them spending like they just won the lotto, and are unwilling to demand immigration laws be enforced.

In the end Republicans will win the white house because, sadly, there are far more bigots and racists on the left than the right and the Democrat ticket will likely have either Clinton or Obama, or both, somewhere on it. Regardless of who you support that should embarrass you.

P.S. I just caught the "half-black" bit when I went to "submit". Do you actually factor a persons race when you consider their qualifications? That's sad if you do.

In a time of war I don't think an ad like that helps anyone. But it hurts everyone. Most of all our military that are in foreign countries risking their lives for political people here to have the freedom to try to make the Republicans or Democrats look better or worse. When these groups of people make our president or generals look bad they are giving our enemies fuel to fight us. I think both parties would look better if they stopped acting like teenage mean girls. If any of them had any class they would try to keep our country together instead of dividing us. If you are calling out moveon.org for their bad behavior then you must accept your own bad behavior for your comments about Obama. That is the problem with all this mud slinging in politics everyone is ready to call everyone else on their bad behavior while ignoring their own. I am sick of something this serious being treated like a wrestling match where one wrestler is talking down the other, fans throwing garbage at the wrestler they hate then everyone goes home until the next match. This is not a game for the winning party to gloat about getting the better of his opponent this is about the world we live in the quality of our life.

BTW... I think you have too many zeros there, the cost was more like $25,000. Anyway, following that brand of logic, I suppose Dems. should be thanking Reps. for the GOP-sponsored commercials that feature a paraplegic vet who says "they attacked us on 9/11". What? Iraq attacked US on 9/11??

Ari Fleischer, President Bush’s former press secretary, is now a spokesman for the Freedom's Watch, a new group of prominent conservatives behind the $15 million ad campaign . Mr. Fleischer said the central message of Freedom’s Watch is that “the war in Iraq can be won and Congress must not surrender.” The ads will run as Congress is awaiting the Sept. 15 release of a report from Gen. David Petraeus that will evaluate progress in Iraq. Too bad he couldn't even remember the soldier's name when asked on Hardball.

Lucky for them they had enough lead time on the content of the report to create the ads and get them on the air beginning on Aug.22. Just in time to 'remind' members of Congress returning from vacation. Oddly enough though, MSNBC and CNBC refused to run the ads; FOX and CNN had no such qualms about taking some of that $15 million.

What would hurt the Dems the worst is selecting a candidate who does not promise to get the troops the hell out of Iraq.

Generals get paid a lot of money, have nice pensions, and get cushy jobs with military contractors when they retire. If the general can't take a little name calling, then his azz should not be leading a High School football team let alone an army.

Probably. But with the way the likes of Rush and Sean and Ann hurt the Republican party they need all the help they can get. There are ignorant extremists on both sides.

If the Dems somehow do get the power they are seeking, how will the new regime operate if they don't even trust the word of their leading generals?
I hope this ad is used to bite them right back in the a$$.

To the person that believes the Republicans are beholden to the KKK or the Nazi party. The only member of the KKK in Congress is a Democrat and the Nazi party has no support in the mainstream Conservative party.

In case you haven't noticed, moveon.org has been highly critical of the Democratic Party, lately.

Heck yeah it helps the Republican party. Just shows how sad and hateful the Dems are. That is always a help to us Republicans.
