I have a complete understanding of classic business attire required for a traditional interview, but need help with a non-conventional company. The company STRESSES being comfortable. This includes, bringing your dog to work and wearing jeans, EVERY DAY. How do I approach this interview without out-dressing the interviewer and without under estimating how loose their dress code is?

Consider the classic business attire but with bold or off-beat accessories.
If you are a guy, perhaps a really bold graphic tie, or a bold colored shirt worn open collar without a tie. Or maybe traditional attire, but vivid socks, which will show a playful nature.
If you are female, the above advice works for you, too. Perhaps you do a traditional interview attire, but with a bold necklace or scarf. If you feel you must wear jeans, wear dark ones that are well tailored and in good shape. Wear them with a blazer and pumps, (NOT a lace camisole--it's not a date.)
Just as you suggest in your opening, you should not show too much skin or something that draws attention to your figure. Dressing a little above THEIR version of business casual shows respect and is a perfectly safe option. If you feel underdressed in the interview, it will show in your face and your answers. If you feel comfortable in your clothes, you are more likely to be focused and self confident in the interview.

It's always a rule of thumb to dress one notch above what the company policy is. This shows that you are willing to do more than what's expected, which is a good sign in a potential candidate. But, taken into consideration that they are so casual, I would say go with pants and a polo, and of course the hair should be neat. Hope this helps and good luck!

uhh well if you are a woman... i'd say dark straight cut jeans a lace cami paired with one of those cropped jackets

for a guy... i'd say the suit jacket with a polo jeans and converse for your feet look.
