It used to bother me until I realized that I was getting a thumbs down for just about everything that I type now its like ok someone doesn't like me. Boohoo they have hurt my internet feelings. Honestly, I could get 30 thumbs down on one comment and it wouldn't even make me bat an eyelash.

If they are just being nasty or posting spam links they get a thumbs down.I have respect for people that have the courage to speak their mind even if I disagree,so I just leave it be.

I think it's funny that people can be so immature and narrow minded to ask for opinions yet give you thumbs down for having one that isn't theirs. Opinion is supposed to mean a thought and not everybody will agree. They ask knowing some won't agree and can't handle it.

It doesn't really bother me. Sometimes people misunderstand what you are saying or they have no sense of humour (that's generally why I get thumbs down...)
I do give thumbs down for similar reasons as you.

I "love" it when someone asks a sweet question such as who is your love. And the response you get to your sentimental answer is [thumbs down]. Grrrrr.........

yea i can't stand that. people should only get them if they are being mean or completely ridiculous not for putting their opinion which a lot of these questions seem to be about

yeah some people are sad, but you just have to learn to ignore those people.
I do sometimes give thumbs down as well if the answer is offensive though - only so that other people don't have to read the answer if they have the filters set right.
