Live life ... celebrate the joys, the obstacles in your way ... Respect and dignity for all you meet. Treat everyone the way you would want to be treated. Each and every event in our lives becomes part of the complex QUILT of our SELVES ... and that is what makes us into the person that we will become in the future.

Life also means that we must work hard and put forth best efforts for what we want .. and that is for sure. By setting goals/dreams, we can proceed towards achieving those goals/dreams ... and that is for sure.

For from the perspective of this Empty-Nesting Single Retiree (who was also the survivor of a short disaster of a marriage, the SOLE support for her TWO disabled children (as a Long Term Single Parent), and someone who has ALWAYS had to provide for herself/her family ....), I can definitely attest to the fact that when I started out as a young woman, I did realize that I must set my sights on the goal ... my family's needs, to work hard (and always try my best), to achieve what I wanted to achieve, to raise my children as best as I could ... and now ...

This Empty-Nesting Single Retiree HAS achieved HER dream ... Homeowner, with HER pensions, and yes, comfortable with HER SELF ... in every way. Now over a half-century old ... I find that I have the time for joy in my life, and yes, (just recently in fact), I have once again ventured into the dating scene .. and found someone who is so completely opposite my ex (my current date is sweet, kind, caring, and definitely more compatible in every way .... including intellectually and emotionally) that I can enjoy a relationship now in ways that I thought I would NEVER know!

So yes, celebrate life ... because ... as the Survivor of a short disaster of a marriage (with an abusive, violent sociopath of an ex) .. the ex did Burglarize MY home in August 2006 (yes, once again) ... and if not for the fact that I have BILLS to pay (and was out paying them), I would NOT Be alive and breathing today ... nor would I have been here to enjoy a NEWLY discovered relationship with someone very special in my mid-life/elder years.

When you come close to death (and several times ... I also am Retired Military), you LEARN to appreciate life as it is .. and be comfortable with oneself and learn ... life is NOT about things or possessions, it is about appreciating the people and places around us ...

We have to add leap years and leap centuries to keep things in tune with the seasons. If you don't... Britain and the British Empire (including the eastern part of what is now the United States) adopted the Gregorian calendar (with leap years) in 1752 by which time it was necessary to correct by 11 days. Wednesday, 2 September 1752 was followed by Thursday, 14 September 1752 to account for 29 February 1700 (Julian). See the link below to see what happens when you don't do that:

What a great way to start each day, like it's our birthday. How about the whole a Very Merry Un-Birthday!! We can use that too.

Happy Birthday or Very Merry Un-Birthday to you, Mad Meatballs

Exactly the way everybody should think!
You have obviously faced death my friend, because most people don't have the insight to be this free.
I am with you on this, live every day as if it's your last, learn everything you can learn, give everything you've got to give, laugh A LOT! Love even more. ♥

Good point there. As my poor Mom used to say "This world, the next, then fireworks."

it depends on how you live it.....in that moment.......without premeditation....living in that moment and manifesting your energies of what emotions of your being is manifesting at the time that very moment of time you are breathing
