Every year, my grand father and I would take the train out of the city and go somewhere different each time. It wasn't the location that really mattered to me. It was the train ride with my grandpa.

My grandparents are still alive so still making memories but my fav with my great grandmother was helping her make pear preserves. I wish I still had a couple of jars my kids would have loved the stuff.

Every summer I would go and spend the whole summer with them too many memories to just mention one...

My grandpa used to tell my sister and I bedtime stories about his childhood at the orphanage where he grew up with my grandmother.
