In the numerator, you can pull out a 2z from all terms to get 2z(z2 + 3z + 9). The denominator is a difference in cubes, so you can factor that to
(z-3)(z2+3z+9). So poof, the big, bad quadratic divides out to get 2z/(z-3)

(2z^3 + 6z^2 + 18z) / (z^3 - 27)
= [(2z) (z^2 + 3z + 9)] / [(z - 3) (z^2 + 3z + 9)]
= 2z / (z - 3).
