showing their breasts and hairy chest. What law or statute is violated if women take their tops off in public showing their breasts? Afterall what's is good for the goose is certainly good for the gander.

In Ontario Canada a Provincial Law was challenged and the young women won her case. Women can go topless here.
Unfortunately, it seems that the ones that do go topless, are usually the ones that shouldn't.
After the law was passed, it was no longer a big deal (more of an achieved right) and RARELY will you see a topless female outside of a beach area

The law that is violated is exposure of sexual organs. Yes i know it is a double standard but most if not all legislatures view a breasts as sexual organs ONLY because of the nipple, now if they use pasties to cover the nipple then technically they are not exposing their nipples and can get away with it. Now why can men get away without wearing a shirt is because most people dont see a mans chest as an erogenous zone.

I would certainly like to know the answer to that. I'm a pre-op female to male transsexual (born a female, becoming male) and let me tell ya something. My NATURAL ones, are far SMALLER than some bio males that are out there! I consider myself a male, yet if *I* were to walk out without a shirt, I'd probably be arrested (or I wonder if anyone could even tell? hmm..now I gotta try that)
Yeah..I certainly don't understand that. I would SO much rather see a thin, tan, girl with a nice set of C cups than some 300 pound man with "man boobs" and a rug on his chest sporting it for the world to see, and being proud of it..eww.

The female breast is classified in most municipalities as requiring concealment of the nipple and area surrounding. Laws vary from city to city. I just read that a male carpenter working nude was cited three times in Berkeley, Calif because they have anti-nudity laws, but released and not cited in Oakland, Calif (just one city over) because they have no such laws.

I know in Pride parades many lesbians want to go topless. But in San Francisco at least, the anti-nudity laws require concealment, so the lesbians just placed large band aids over their nipples to comply with the law.

Here in New York, at least, women ARE allowed to walk around bare-chested. Not that I've seen a woman actually walk around that way but they are permitted.

in DC the law is a little vauge, women can bed topless *if* there is no "lewd" intent. you would be cited but the charge dismissed in court.
