I took hot baths in early pregnancy before I knew I was pregnant, and did not have any negative outcomes. Just check with your ob/gyn to be sure, but I'm betting that all is well. Congrats and good luck!

If you needed the electric blanket, you were obviously cold so it is fine. They just worry about raising your core temperature too high, like sitting in a hot tub. Your baths are fine, I mean if you aren't scalding and sweating obviously it is okay. You will know when you should get out or turn the blanket off. Everyone comes up with these crazy things about boiling your baby. Which I mean I suppose to a degree could be true. A midwife told me to quit tanning, so I did, but I have seen totally healthy babies come from mothers who went tanning everyday. So who knows. But I am sure your baby is fine.

Warm to hot baths sound ok to me, its if the water is extremely hot that it can make baby inside TOO warm. I think electric blankets can do the same thing. As far as taking baths, they are ok to take!!!

It's not too late. It's never to late to break "bad" habits for your unborn child. Just remember though alot of people don't even know their preggo until about this time so they do all kinds of things also. I know I smoked until I was 7 weeks along because I didn't know I was pregnant! Given as soon as I found out I quit! All you can do know is make sure to keep yourself and your baby healthy and happy!! CONGRATS!!!

No hot baths, no heating pads on the tummy, no electric blankets..........to be on the safe side. Stop fretting!!!! It'll be okay. Just ask your doctor about things if you aren't sure what's right & what's not.
