No. The M means "Medium" and the "W" is wide. If you do not have a wide foot, the wide width will fall off your feet.

(Just for your info, there is also an "N" for "Narrow" and "WW" for extra wide (or wide wide).

Size 11w Womens Shoes

Not too many women wear a size 11 shoe. That is awfully big. However, an 11M would be average width but 11W is wide width. So a woman wearing an11W shoe would have a very big foot.

No. The letter denotes the width--so, an 11w will be wider than an 11m.

No it is not the same size ! 11 W means WIDE Width, so the shoe is wider then M !! M is medium width ! so you go by the width of your foot to see which size you are, a w or a M?

Depends which country you live in. Europe men and women's shoe sizes are the same, The UK is so close it makes no difference (about half a size), But in USA women's shoe sizes differ quite a lot. F10=M8.5

Yes the size is the same, but the fit will be different. The m is for medium and the w is for wide and these refer to the width respectively.

I really don't think so a wide shoe is different from a medium width.
