Ok, so I have an AA degree in general studies, I'm currently going for my bs but I don't want to be one of those ppl with a bs and there's nothing they can do with it they have to get a ms and so on, I want to make big bucks NOW. I heard that diagnostic medical sonographer, x-ray tech and cardiovascular tech make a very good living so I was interested in going that route so what would be the best thing to do what classes to take should I continue with a bachelor or do I have to start all over again. I found out that you need an AS degree so probably I'll just need to take a couple of sonography classes? Please help me with any suggestion or best way to go about it. Thank you very much

you will need to continue to bachelor, one thing you could have done was gotten an AS in those particular areas. I am currently going for a AS in Radiologic Technology. But anyway some schools have a 2+2 program. You can find a medical school and finish the last two years completing courses and clinicals in one of the medical fields you are intersted in. If you have a BS in the medical field, your are basically good on a financial note because hospitals are never going away and they pay well generally.

You're going to need more than a couple of classes. There is A LOT to learn to become a radiologic technologist or sonographer.

I had an associate degree too, and I still spent 40 hours per week for 2 years in school to become a radiologic technologist. You can learn cardiovascular on the job after you become an RT.

Hon, my best suggestion is to go to the bookstore and get yourself a school catalog and study the requirements and then go speak to a counselor at school and they will set you straight. And, I want to point out that you will NOT make a LOT of money right away, it will take many years to make good money at any profession. You don't just come out of the gate making the big bucks in any profession.
