Misplaced IUD and possible pregnancy?

I had an IUD since I have 4 kids and div--found a great guy and thought okay and protected but my IUD started to fall out--my current boyfriend I and I had sex with no condom--not realizing that the IUD was misslodged. I went to the gyn today and he said I have a higher chance of getting preg since my cervix was totally open--ouch--now he wants me to take the morning after pill? Anyone experience this? I am a very smart woman--older than most on here--thought I did the right thing by getting an IUD--just lost on this.

if you don't want a baby, take the pill to make sure you don't. It's one pill, brings on your period, no big deal.
