I don't have many friends and I feel like school's a drag. I'm basically not confident with myself---that includes my looks. I feel like I'm never going to be the "pretty girl" and I don't have the highest grades. Teachers are nice to me, but I'm not confident. I sometimes feel like hiding. I know this sounds dumb, but I'm just feeling this way and wondering if it's NORMAL!!!

Plus, I have a gorgeous almost 19-year-old sister who has always been crushed on by guys...even teachers, it seems like... =p

Fortunately (or maybe unfortunately), it is normal.

When I was 15, my best friend moved out of town. I had literally no friends. I chatted with a couple people in a couple classes, and that was literally IT. I was skinny, looked really young still, wasn't confident, and felt like life sucked. Well, scratch that. Life DID suck. Things get better.

I date beautiful girls nowadays. I'm 23. The reason the girls I date are so beautiful is that they came from the types of experiences you're having. My current girlfriend described one really sad incident in which a guy sitting behind her said to another "She's an ugly b*tch isn't she?" Well that "ugly b*tch" is now a Ph.D. student at a top university and she has turned about to be stunning.

The picky, stuck up girls who have been famous among their huge group of friends since they started high school turned out to be tired, drunk, shallow people that really struggle to find love and happiness only a few years out of high school. That's a mean thing to say, but it's apparent everywhere.

Sweet your still so young i remember when i was 15 and confused about my life hated school and was just over it all, just remember that there is so so much ahead of you and don't ever give up.... looks are nothing there is this sterio type that girls are supposed to be but the reality of it is that
no one is perfect and maybe your sister is really pretty but there will be lots of things about you that are great as well and don't worry about boys trying to get you your only young and have a lot of growing and dating ahead of you...
I'm 18 now and only finished year 12 last year i have had it really tough and was always jealous of my older sister it's normal... just remember that school is really important it determines the rest of your life i finished year 12 and was so proud of myself because back in year 10 i wanted to drop out and be a hair dresser lol now I'm at uni and life is great and i get more boys than my sis lol
give yourself time things are always changing in life just go with the flow and everything will work out OK
just remember i know everyone always tells you guys this but i have to say STAY IN SCHOOL because the longer you study for the better life you will have!!
good luck babe xxx

TOTALLY normal!!!!

You don't need to be the pretty girl or have amazing grades in order to be someone special.

Even if you feel like you're not special, you just haven't found what makes you great!

I am only 24 and I don't even remember high school... I was fairly popular and pretty enough... overall average I'd say. Even though, sometimes I see people I went to school with and can't even remember their names!! School is such a small part of life, just do what you can to get through it and then it's over and done with.

Cheer up!!

(I completely agree with the first answer)

i think of he's an extremely secure practices father by the sounds of it. He should not be sending you messages like that. Is your a gf a lonely newborn? if so then i will understand why he's being somewhat protecting as that's common in spite of the undeniable fact that that's a abit erratic habit. And he might choose for you interior the front room ie the place he can see you etc. no longer save her faraway from you because it willcontinual you the two at the same time and make you the two extra desperate to be be at the same time and notice one yet another. have you ever been at the same time long. a pair of months etc isn't longer so he's thinking it won't final long and he might think of your no longer properly worth it. A 365 days or so then, can understand your thoughts which you nevertheless choose for to work out her. perhaps he's being this protecting using fact shes ha a foul adventure or sonething with a prior bf or chum etc. Does your gf understand you had messages from her dad? Has she asked him to furnish you a raffle and characteristic dinner or some thing. He could be following her as he would not have confidence her for some reason. Is she the form to deceive her dad. Do you spot her at school? i think of you're able to inform somebody that he has despatched those messages. perhaps your mothers and fathers and ask them what they think of. And save them. in case you are able to not talk to her, freely like a pair. then perhaps purely be a chum along with her to help her by using along with her dad and his themes as that's no longer common. He for sure has themes along with her and all people in contact along with her and friends etc

girl. its SO normal....and i hate that it is. I definatly know what you're going through, i think we've all been there. You know, you really dont need more than a few good friends. Keep in mind, that no matter what, you are your own worst critic. Keep your head up and know that your gorgeous and things will always get better!

Very normal. It passes in time. The teen years are not particularly "fun" for everybody. I know I would not go through them again for all the money in the world.
