No. You're only taxed on income that you earn in a country, or if you buy something there you might have to pay VAT.

No; taxes are based on the income in the state in which the income was earned.

If you have no income, you shouldn't have to pay any taxes (state or federal).

If, however, you're employed and working while traveling across the country (like with a traveling theatre group or the circus), then that portion of income (based on a daily basis), that you earn in each and every state has to be claimed as income in each and every state.

In other words, you HAVE to file state income tax returns for EVERY state that you earn income in during a calendar year, even if your income is only for one working day.

Not if you don't have income. Although I'm not sure just how you'd do all that travelling with no income.
