my friend referred the movie Deathwatch and i absolutely loved it. Actually i'm not even sure if it was set in ww1 or the civil war (didn't they use muzzleloaders in the civil war?). I'm pretty sure it was ww1. so anyways i want to see more ww1 movies.

I'm mainly interested in more recent movies, e.g. 80s & 90s, i'm not a big fan of anything pre-1970 =)

All Quiet on the Western Front and Sergeant York are the only two that come to mind. In WWI they used a bolt-action Springfield rifle. In the Civil War they used the Percussion Cap Muzzleloaders like the Enfield, the Springfield, The Spencer, and the Henry.

My familiar won't be a action picture, this is Band of Brothers, a television mini sequence produced via Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg between others. this relies on the testimony of a few individuals of the common enterprise, so which you will have confidence the data there. i've got been advised Saving inner maximum Ryan is like Band of Brothers (it grow to be directed via Spielberg), so it must be a solid determination.
