Are we being alittle harsh on Britney Spears?

Sure the dancing was a mess, but she looked pretty hot for a mother of two. Sure, Kate Hudson looks better. Nobody is perfect, and she never attacked me..

Probably...she does like good for having had two babies. I just think she could have practiced her act a little more before going on stage. She seemed so unsure of herself up there.

I agree she didnt look bad for a mother of two, just very different then 3 yrs ago when I saw her in concert. I think so many people wanted this to be her comeback but britney just didnt seem into it. The dancing wasnt as enthused as it use to be. More tactfulness would have been much better. She looked good to me for having 2 kids less than 2 years ago. Her singing or lack of has never been that off. Her single is good but she should have sang it!

Good for you bass for making this question. You know there are lots of people less open and forgiving out there. and ready to shoot down the first person and stone them been that way since beginning of time.

I agree with you. many are jumping on the band wagon instead of broadening there scope they take what others say and fly with it agreeing she sucked. without really looking at the full picture.

CUt her some slack everybody.

Old saying treat others the way you would want to be treated. if we all took a moment and thought that was us up there how would you feel reading these remarks some have left.

I think people should be rallying behind her that what she needs right now. not kicking a person when there already down.

I'm sure she would like to hear some positive things here.

So what, that is part of the job description.

Brittney didn't get into this business blind, she was a Mouseketter, so as a child she wanted to be in show business. Her early success as a singer paved the way for her to become a huge success. She was making a lot of money, was very popular, and doing a good job.

Then she became an adult and started to fall apart. Her "first marriage" was a stupid stunt and her second one was that much better, although it lasted longer. She was doing stuipd things and making a public fool of herself and it hurt her career. She was doing okay, and became more popular as a sex symbol, but morally and mentally she was in decline.

Part of being a star is being a model for other people. As a young hard working girl who was pretty and still seemed sweet and innocent she was a great role model. As a drunken fool, mother of two who goes and shaves her head she is only a model for an inmate in an insane asylum. She is failing at one of the primary jobs of Hollywood Stars she isn't being a good role model.

Then her performance was bad. When Ashley Simpson flubbed it on Saturday Night Live by proving that she was lip sinking she just proved that she wasn't really a modern pop star only a wana-be. A real modern pop star dances AND sings. Brittney used to be able to do that, but her last performance showed that she has lost that ability.

The big appearance on MTV was meant to promote her new album, now it will only hurt it. She is still a failing rock star, and the effects are visible to the whole world. If she gets herself together and is able to put her life and her carrier back in order then I say good for her. But, until then she is just proof of the worst part of Hollywood and she shatters the myth that pop stars have got it made.

A cold dose of reality, but Hollywood is not in the reality business; they are selling and image, an ideal and Brittney is not living up to that ideal. So she is still pretty, if you hire a professional trainer and work 6 hours a day at it then you to can get into good shape. Of course that's what all female movie stars and porn stars do. To make herself something more than just a porn star she has to do something more than just look good she has to perform well.

Look at her rival Gwen Stephanie or Christina Aguilera. They haven't fallen apart, they haven't let fame destroy them and they are still successful powerful and respected women. Brittney Spears has no one's respect and that means no one will want to buy her records or see her if she tried to star in a movie. If she is not careful she will not only destroy herself, but her career. She is clearly still on that track.

Being a pop idol is not easy work, but being idolized by millions carries a responsiblity with it and she is showing that she isn't up to the task.

She looks like a normal woman! OH MY GOD!! How could she??? Have a belly like that after giving birth to 2 children? The world must be coming to an end. Give me a break, she looks fine, although not like she used too.....Like most woman dont after having kids. I think its ridiculous, I cant stand her, but if its not "models are too thin, blahblahblah" "they give bad body image to young girls blahblahblah" and then i hear this, about britany spears belly and out of shape body, its horrible that the people let the media do what it does.

She didn't look out of shape. She just looked heavier than before. Plus, she looked proportioned. Hope she doesn't take the stupid criticism to heart and starve herself like Nicole Richie. I don't know if Kate looks so much better. They both are cute girls in their own way. They just have different body types.

She brought it on herself. She built her career on being sexy, on being attractive, on risque' dancing, on wearing sleezy outfits. It certainly wasn't her singing that made her so popular.

So now that she is chubby, not sexy, looks plain silly in a sleezy outfit, too busy for her kids, a poor dancer, generally messed up and doesn't even try to put on a good show - why exactly are we supposed to like here now?

Sorry - we don't owe her our support. If she wants to work hard, develop her talent and actually put on a good show then maybe her career will come back. Personally, I think her kids should come first and she should focus on being a good Mom before resuming her career.

She's the only person that is harsh on britney she herself is. She makes herself be whatever she wants and she doesn't care what anybody thinks anyway, because if she did, she'd shape up. She made her money and now she just doesn't give a crap, plain and simple.

Yeah, I think people are being way harsh. Just look at the struggles she has been going through recently. So what if she has made some mistakes? She is only human, just like everyone else. It's a shame folks can't comprehend that.
