I just saw that movie on Telefutura which was on at 11:30 PM. I saw parts of the second ½. Y was there a robot owl? Was it a quirky sidekick like some of the Disney flics that came out later on?

Yes, Bubo was the robot owl. If you read Greek mythology (on which the movie was loosely based), the owl was sacred to Athena. In the movie, Athena sent the owl to accompany Perseus in his ventures.

I forgot his name, but the the owl was Perseus friend as I recall. I haven't seen it in a while.

I would say it's getting old, but actually it got old six moths ago. Now it just fills me with the urge to vomit uncontrollably. The late vapid inanity of R&P is a good part of the reason I'm considering leaving Y!A.

Perseus was the only one who could understand what the robot owl said, that owl help revealed to him how to kill Medusa without being killed

Zeus wanted Athena to let Perseus borrow her real owl. She had Hephaestus make the robot instead. After Perseus killed Medusa, he gave Athena the head after he was finished with it.

It was given to Perseus as one of the many gifts the gods and goddesses gave him to help him save Andromeda. The owl helped him see beyond his normal human vision.

yeah, he was a robot. it's been awhile since i've seen it, but i believe the owl was one of the things that zues gave to his son to aid him in has travels. (along with the sword, the sheild, etc)
