please explain how to solve:

100! / 98!2!

(100! Divided by 98! times 2!)

100! = 100*99*98!, so you get

(100*99*98!)/(98!2!)

= (100*99)/(2*1)

= 9900/2

= 4950

100*99*98!/98!*2!
then the 98! will gone, so
100*99/2*1= 50*99=4950
