type in " memory upgrades " under google.
once you do, there are several sites that you could look into, and most of the sites will have an automatic memory check up, which will tell you exactly what your mainboard is and what exact type of memory will fit into the motherboard.
trust me on this. just do what i tell you, and youd be like WOAH simple as that? thanks!.

Memory or more commonly referred to as RAM (Random Access Memory) - slots into your Mother Board. The CPU also fits into the Mother board. (Mother board is also referred to as Main Board.)
RAM types that are common are DDR, DDR2 and older types like SDRAM.
Your mother board has a brand and a number. A small manual comes with it, when you purchase an M/Board.
This manual will tell you what RAM your computer will take.

id pass with a socket 775 those are extraordinarily much less costly and could take a great array of chips. (intell purely) i'm working a center duo extreme and purely paid approximately one hundred dollars for my mobo. and specific related to the psu you will ought to replace that element. you need to have a minimum of four hundred to 500 watts reason being is this dvd gamers and hardrives use approximately seventy 5-one hundred watts each and every a cpu with todays speeds can suck as much as 50 watt after which you have your followers and reminiscence and the mobo itself. to little wattage can kill a chip as properly. so get adequate to hide your stuff and then some. oh yeah related to the mobo and the place to get one. id attempt international laptop or tiger direct.

Memory suppliers have selection guides on the website.
You can specify the brand, the model #, how much RAM your computer has, and they will tell you what to buy to upgrade.
One example is Crucial.com . Another is Kingston.

Depends if you have other RAM installed also, but if you have it alone, it should work fine. Some have different speeds, if it fits, it should work.
