Because they have a tough first half of the schedule. Then after that they play teams like Army. Navy and Air Force.

Let me see:
Ga Tech and Penn St look good so far.
Michigan does not look good
Mich St: I don't know
Purdue: I don't know
UCLA: Looks at least pretty good
BC: I think they're Top 25, not sure
USC: an NFL team
Navy: pretty good last year, don't know about this year
Air Force: ??? usually not that good
Duke: the WORST BCS conference football program
Stanford: 2nd worst BCS conference football program
**If Notre Dame was in the Pac 10 this year, they'd probably go 4-5 in conference. If they were in the SEC, they'd go 3-5.

They don't play Army this year, and the back portion of their schedule is very weak, but the front part may be tougher than any team this side of Washington.
Irish will be lucky to get a win in their first 8.

because with being an indeoendent they really dont have any locked in opponent. How ever year after year they play teams like USC, Michigan, and many other BCS caliber teams either the previous yr. or this very year, well not Michigan ths yr. But this yr they are terrible due to poor coaching and poor leadership ability of clausen

They have a pretty tough scheduele, but nothing to complain aobut. The reason the irish suck this year is because a lack of talent. Thats it. Period, end of story.

I hate ND too, don't get me wrong, but they do have a point. Aside from their fellow independents they play all their other games against big schools. Playing ND isn't free you know.

it helps you to rationalize all of your losses.... That fat coach looks like a big ole fat deer in the headlights.... they overpaid for him big time he will be gone in three years... ND should try the subdivision maybe there they could win a few...
