Since it is impossible to know the exact day of conception, it is impossible to know for sure how far along you are, even with an ultrasound.
By my count, my due date was april 12th. The ultrasound said it should be april 1st. Baby was born on april 19th.
First babies are usually late, on average by a week. I would go by your origional estimate of 13 weeks, give or take 2 weeks in either direction.

I had this happen with my daughter. Because I knew the exact day I got pregnant. So when I was 20 weeks pregnant they did an ultrasound and they said I was only 18. Which didn't make any sense to me because I knew when I got pregnant, and it didn't really match up with my missed period. My daughter was due according to them on October 30, but I went into labor the 22nd. So I can't figure that out for myself. It doesn't really matter though, the baby will come when its ready. Good luck!

Ultrasounding- is NOT an exact science. And neither are our memories. So if you're "expecting" something to come along a couple of weeks one way or the OTHER sometime in the future- I'd pack my overnight bag JUST alittle early- to cover all the possibilities... :)

When the doctor does the ultrasound he bases your due date on the measurement he is getting. Your baby might hit a growth period and your due date will change again

Trust the ultrasound. It may even change again when you have another one, my due date changed a few times (but I had an ultrasound weekly).

If your doctor is experienced then he is more than likely right.
You probably ovulated later in your cycle than you thought, and had sex and voila! You are pregnant.
Same thing happenned to a friend last year. She thought she was 8 weeks and the doctor said she was 6.

they are usually accurate when they do a measurement of the baby as long as your baby is growing normally.
