Any variety of lettuce or spinach which must be boiled or frozen before giving to tadpoles. Organically grown lettuce better because no pesticides.

Old leaves wtih algae on them from creeks, etc., but could be a source of disease.

Even better than risking chemicals on commercially grown crops is to use a compressed algae fish product called Algae Disks which might be sold by your local aquarium or pet shop. A combination of food types is good.

See website provided for detailed information.

Depends what is available. Mostly algae or other plant material, but some have been found to gnaw on other tadpoles in extreme conditions.

Algae or Fish food. My little sister has a tadpole and she feeds him fish food. He has gotten really big too. When we got him he was like the size of our pinky. Now he's like your fist. Crazy I know but so true. But honestly feed him fish food it also wioll make algae for him. What eve you do... DO NOT CLEAN HIS TANK! Trust me my sister lost one of hers that way. Hope I helped you out some.
