I wouldn't say critical thinking skills because I don't think there was ever really a time when anyone used them before they spoke however I do agree that I miss the times when people used common sense, courtesy, and used proper english

Yes, I also miss the days when people were honest, and I did not have to question every persons motive. I think the reason that we are having these problems is because parents are not teaching their children the important things like this, they are counting on the schools to teach their children and unfortunately the schools don't teach these types of things. I think that we would be a lot better off if parents took their job of being a parent a bit more serious, and parents stayed together, and fathers actually hung around to help raise the children and help support them. The issues that you and I are complaining about are all issues that could be corrected in a stable home with both parents that were willing to spend time teaching their children these things and holding them accountable.

Yes, improper english drives me crazy. I don't think half of the world population has common sense, or common courtesy anymore. I rarely meet people who meet the specifications.

I'm 22 so I'm going to go ahead and say that I can't miss something that I've never had. But yes.
Some of us still do have morals though. There are a few good people left. Just always try to be one of them; keep a smile on your face and don't let all the punks get ya down :)

In the good old days people were far more polite, courteous, well spoken and used far more common sense and critical thinking skills when they were stabbing you in the back
Hmm, perhaps the good old days weren't so good, at least now we see it coming

Yes I do. I also miss the days before everyone spent all day on the internet (guilty) and texting each other while walking into traffic (not guilty). Technology will be the death of society.

Respect was the thing that caused that to happen. Respect of self, others and the world.
