One of the beakers holds 30ml, one holds 40ml and the largest of the three holds 200ml when full. There arn't any markings on any of the beakers. How can you put exactly 20mls of water in the large without using any other equipment?

fill the 40 ml then pour it into the 30 ml until it is full. You now have 10 ml in the 40 ml container to pour into the large beaker. Repeat.

Fill the 30ml beaker once... Dump it into the 40ml beaker... that leaves 10 ml of space. Then refil the 30ml beaker and pour the remaining 10ml required to fill the 40ml beaker up and the remaining volume is 20ml of water....walla!

Fill the 40 then pour into the 30. The amount left in the 40 will be 10ml. Pour this into the 200. Repeat the whole process and you will have 20ml in the 200ml beaker.

Fill the 40 mL, use it to fill the 30 mL and put the excess in the 200 mL. Empty the 30 mL and repeat. You now have 20 mL in the 200 mL beaker.

As others have stated, this is possible, but it is also possible NOT using the 200 ml. Fill the 30ml and pour into the 40 ml. Fil the 30 ml again and pour into the 40 until it is full. You now have 20 ml left in the 30 ml.

Fill th 30ml., pour it into the 40ml., then refill the 30ml. and top off the 40ml. beaker. What you have left in the 30ml. beaker is 20ml.

Fill up the 40 ml and then fill to the brim the 30 ml there will be 10 ml left in the 40 ml. Dump it in the large beaker.

Repeat one more time and you have 20 mls.

fill the 200. pour from the 200 into the 40 until it's full. dump out the 40. repeat twice. you now have 80 in the largest. Now pour into the 30 until its full, dump the 30, repeat. you now have 20 in the largest.
