Actually I talk about personal accountability. And I don't drive a hummer, or talk on my palm pilot, or vote against social democrats, or get a social security check each month... I think personal accountability is the best tool for making our choices in life be ones that do the least amount of harm to others. Personal accountability is one tool that can lead to integrity and responsibility. I am confused about why this would be a bad thing?!

Yes, my first serious relationship. He told me what I could and could not do, he screamed at me if I smoked and he found out. He had dumped beer on me, tackled me to the ground, and emotionally abused me. He walked all over me and I was his so called "property". It was horrible and I'm just glad I learned from that experience.

well I also have a fantasy like alice's, lately I've been feeling my bf's property in the way that I have eyes only for him, but I'd NEVER allow abusive behaviour towards myself...

Perceived as such, yes. It's what ended the relationship. A marriage certificate is not a certificate of ownership.
