I heard that if you born after 1992 (not including 1992) then you can't get your drivers licence till you 18. Anyone born in 1992 and after can get their licence at 16 1/2. Is this true? cuz me and my friends argue about it alot and i wanna get it solved once and for all!!

I am wondering about that too! I looked it up on-line, and apparently you can get your g1 at 16 / 16 1/2 (this means you must drive with a person over 25 who has a valid drivers liscence in the car) So I guess it is kinda half you liscence. You can get a full one (g2) at 18 years old =)

This rumor has been going around in California for a couple years now. It is entirely false. The state has no plans to change the age for either a permit or a license.

Check your State laws. Remember, this is the United States of America, not the Federal country of America.

I haven't heard that, but that would really suck. A drivers license is better than wings. Yea the car payments, car repairs, tags, licensing, inspections, and insurance is a pain in the butt, but to have the freedom makes it all worth it.

Call your local Division of Motor Vehicles and ask. Some states have different age limits.
