yes, it totally depends on whether this is done before or after the experimentation.
If done before then hypothesis is a possible answer of what will happen.
If done after then it is done at the time the data is analyzed so it would be analysis.

I'm thinking it's an analysis, because a hypothesis is made before the experiment, an inference is an assumption of what will happen, and an observation is a note of what did happen.

In that case, I'd go with hypothesis.
