What's the point of posting a question asking for OPINION but then blocked anyone who doesn't agree. Doesn't the person realise that they will end up having no one being able to answer their question at all? Or they want that to happen so they can say - No one like them or that they are discriminated against because they have a disability? We are all here trying to help each other by answering and supporting each other. But that does not mean we have to always agree. Isn't that the way it should be?

Thanks for your answers so far. I am alluding to a certain person who is blocking just about EVERYONE who answered the question. The regulars in this forum will know who I am talking about.
I am NOT complaining about blocking people who are ABUSIVE or vulbar. But this person asked an OPINION question then blocks anyone who disagree with him. He is only hurting himself.

Because he thinks that he's right and that is all he cares about. I work with a lady that just has to be right and if you point out that she is wrong she goes off on you. He doesn't want to be disagreed with or told that he is wrong. He also needs to "learn", that is if this is person that you're talking about, that there is no "normal" as EVERBODY has some sort of mental issue.

I know what you mean the fault lies with their inability to answer the truth Stalin built a regime on a warped version of Karl Marx's philosophies which were impractical anyway . Though Stalin did some very unpleasant things he also did a lot of good that the Christians hadn't like bringing universal health care to the people for the first time in Russia . They never look at the whole picture only their narrow view of unreality . This is a symptom of the disease call Christianity . The easiest way to see if you are being blocked is to sign out and refresh if the question appears you know that person blocked you . Then you can sign into another account he doesn't have blocked and answer him anyway .

I don't think they're blocking people for disagreeing with them. It is when the people who disagree with them report them for no reason and they are constantly violated and needlessly suspended. I know quite a few people who have lost accounts because everytime they ask a question they are reported no matter what the question is. If some people would just not report someone they don't like I think there would be alot less blocking. I'm not saying there aren't some questions that should be reported but the ones that are just for fun should be left alone. This place use to be alot more fun and if this one thing could be changed I think it could be again.

There are those in this forum who take pleasure in belittling the problems of others. I block those people. An answer does not have to agree with my thinking, but it MUST be courteous to the questioner. There is so much disrespect in the world today, and I think that ( in part ) it stems from being able to interact with others without actually seeing or talking with those others. Therefore, to me, these jokers are cowards, they would never say these things in person.

And he asks the same question over and over and over, but seeing as this IS a disability answer site I suppose we, meaning me, should be more tolerant.
If you dont agree you get blocked, and I have answered with what I thought was more then enough sensitivity, about his disability and how it affects a friend of mine in a very simlar way - but it wasnt what he wanted to hear.
Its sad when someone has such a closed mine and is determined to have everyone agree with them.
Where you been mouse?

If I ask a question and find the answers to that question offensive, I am not going to welcome those answerers. If such answers are obscene or abusive, I will report them. Each of us has that right. Don't restrict that.
If someone wants to feel discriminated against, he or she is going to do just that. I have seen it frequently. I have limited peripheral vision and occasionally step right in front of someone I did not see. I have noticed that persons of minority race (yep, I'm Caucasian) tend to take this personally as an affront. I have even heard muttered comments about my being racist. No, I'm not. I just don't see well enough to know in front of whom I'm stepping. Persons of my own race are occasionally offended, but never label me as anything but generically rude. Yes, persons of minority race are not all offended and do not all think I'm a racist because I stepped in front of them, but some do. By the way, I do take responsibility for my unintentional rudeness caused by my disability, and apologize to anyone I accidentally offend. Some believe me, some don't. That's their choice.

It must be how they feel they can have power.
Maybe the truth hurts and these answer hit a sore point.
At the moment my mind picture that autistic man. But I could be very wrong.
His disability probery effects how he acts. What very sad is not knowing that your mind has a disability and it important because that what give us reason and decisions.
He has high funiction ability but view seem so narrow.
We could show him his ABILITY but he only fouces on his DISability
Only think if you block someone then. One people don't answer your question and you can't answer in reply.

Hi mousey I totally agree. This is an answer forum so naturally you are going to get all sorts of opinions. You just have to take the good with the bad and grow a thick skin.

they really dont want an opinion that is not their's. we should be able to agree or disagree without being blocked. i only have a problem with people who ask really stupid questions that have just set up a profile.

Gotta agree. Some real narrow minds in this world. I'm here to exhange ideas and thoughts and hopefully share some things I've experienced in my life of 60 years.
This is a great area but as with all of life, there's always those looking through their little peepholes and telling the rest of us just how it is and how to do it !!!!! Just carry on. :O))))))
