"I cannot support a failed foreign policy. History teaches us that it is often easier to make war than peace. This administration is just learning that lesson right now. The President began this mission with very vague objectives and lots of unanswered questions. A month later, these questions are still unanswered. There are no clarified rules of engagement. There is no timetable. There is no legitimate definition of victory. There is no contingency plan for mission creep. There is no clear funding program. There is no agenda to bolster our over-extended military. There is no explanation defining what vital national interests are at stake. There was no strategic plan for war when the President started this thing, and there still is no plan today"

Actually, she didn't say this. Read below to see the owner of this quote.

For all the Bushbots who didn't read thru the entire post, here's a clip of my pick for the 2008 RNC mascot.

Actually if Clinton hadn't helped clean up Bosnia that country would have probably fallen to al quaida and that's a fact,a little known fact but still a fact.

Clinton's efforts to quell the war in the Balkans "defeated Al Qaeda when it had attempted to take over Bosnia by having its fighters dominate the defense of the breakaway state from Serbian attacks."
The Clinton administration stopped Iraqi terrorism against the United States, through military intervention. It stopped Iranian terrorism against the United States, through covert action. It stopped the al-Qaida attempt to have a dominant influence in Bosnia. It stopped the terrorist attacks at the millennium. It stopped many other terrorist attacks, including on the U.S. embassy in Albania. And it began a lethal covert action program against al-Qaida; it also launched military strikes against al-Qaida.

Hmm,Tom Delay doesn't seem very concerned about emboldening our enemies at all and likewise Clinton never questioned Tom Delay's patriotism nor did the"liberal" media. No one called him a traitor like happens now to everyone who dares to question, let alone critisize any part of the failed white house Iraq strategy. No liberal radio hosts went after him nor did any other "liberal"broadcast

Just felt like bear-baitng, did you?
Until a few months ago, all this still applied, and the planned expansion of the military is, in my mind, still too miserly, but Petraeus seems to be doing a good job in a tough situation. ROE's aren't a problem, and objectives and flexibility are hard to define because of the nature of the foe, which is not a single well-defined group but rather a collection of groups that under other circumstances wouldn't be expected to cooperate.
So, do you feel better? I myself don't see how people get so much glee out of bashing their political opponents when we have troops in harm's way, but to each his own.

Was there oil in Bosnia ?
That quote would work well today, but it illustrates the never-ending partisan tactics prevalent in Washington today. I wonder what could be accomplished if the two parties actually did something together in the best interest of this country. Sadly, I think we'll never know.

Only problem is that Clinton succeeded in stopping the genocide and Bush didn't and there my friend, is the world of difference.

Also there were only 20,000 US Troops deployed.

Also this was a United Nations action

Also, there is now PEACE in Bosnia

Also, Bosnia did NOT split into two countries as was predicted.

Also, since the peace was signed, not one American or NATO troop has been killed in those last ten years by terrorists.

All in all, Bosnia is as different from Iraq as Delay's misinformation is to Pelosi's common sense.

And where is this famous Delay now?
Anyway, are you seriously comparing Bosnia with Iraq?
That region will be a stable democracy long before there is any semblance of peace in Iraq.

Ahh - there lies your mistake. Clinton was protecting innocent muslims from murderous Christians so that doesn't count.
Also back then you were apparently allowed to criticize the president but still support the troops.

I wish she would open her mouth, but it appears she sold out like the rest of them.

Thanks for posting that point. Sadly, the haters will refuse to use their critical thinking skills to figure out why you posted this.

Whoever said it, it's right. And we aren't losing soldiers on a daily basis in Bosnia, so now it's right about Iraq.
