No. Too gas producing - don't feed broccoli, beans or any other gas producing veggie. And forget about iceberg lettuce - no nutrition. Kale, romaine lettuce and spinach are excellent. Fruits too like bananas, apples (or apple sauce), grapes - I generally crush them before feeding them to my bearded dragon.

The lizard will only eat vegetables if it is an omnivore or herbivore.Cabbage doesn't really have any nutriotonal value. Follow the feeding chart on greenigsociety.org and let us know what kind of lizard you have.

It depends on what kind of lizard you are talking about. Some lizards are herbivores, they eat only plant material. Others are insectivores--they only eat insects. Others eat a mix of both. Others eat rodents and other prey.

No. I suggest that you let the lizard go if you can't feed it what it needs to eat. One last possible, call a pet store and find out if they stock some kind of lizard kibble. I don't know if they make it but it might be worth a try.

Be sure to avoid such greens as spinach, chard, cabbage, kale, broccoli and collard greens. These vegetables can either tie up iodine or calcium and cause deficiency problems such as goiters or calcium related illnesses. When we had an iguana we would feed it banana squash, zucchini, romaine lettuce, carrot and apples.
