Trust me there are services available for her. Especially to and from her doctor if she is on low income. Seniors can get discounted bus passes. Free transportation to and from doctors, ETC. Call hotline number or her food stamp people and they will give you the info you need to help her. By the way, you're pretty special to help her the way you are!!

Call the National hotline for your Agency on Aging. They will be able to help you with this type of problem. They will know if there's free transportation, if there are bus tickets required and where they can be gotten for a free or a small charge.
The National hotline number is:1-800-510-2020 and you will be automatically directed to your local office. They are a valuable resource. Also, let them know that she lives alone and does not have family care, they can help with this, too.

The community medical institution in a close-by city has a affected person delivery device that's 2nd to none. My husband drives for them, that's all run by volunteers and donations and is loose to all riders. They take human beings to any appointments and abode returned, the only stipulation is that the appointment have some connection to the medical institution. Like chemotherapy health center, dialysis health center, docs places of work, medical institution remedies or checks, etc. that's a 2 hundred mattress medical institution and that's between the suitable one hundred small hospitals interior the U. S.. you're able to talk on your community medical institution and verify with them in the event that they have some thing like this or enable them to correctly known that there is an activity. additionally in that comparable city, there are a number of different loose delivery platforms for senior voters that end at nursing residences, low earnings housing and senior condominium homes. those delivery platforms are run by businesses and that they take human beings to shops and abode at particular situations of the day. there is no paid bus transportation in that city, that's all donated by businesses and good people who provide from their hearts and wallet.
