All illness or Dis Ease is caused by resistance or contradictory thinking, contradictory to what your desires are.
Your mind (non-physical self is trying to tell you that you are going in the wrong direction to achieve your preference.

It's a crazy philosphy. I've heard it, I've heard of a book about this idea too.

And I'm sure it isn't true... I'm a man of science, and scientifically speaking, that doesn't make much sense.

Not exactly. There is a connection between mind and body. If you think fearful thoughts, for example, your body will experience physiological changes. If you change your thinking, those symptoms will subside. Thinking the same and over time, the dis-ease will continue to grow and more chronic problems will emerge.

Resistance and polarities (in psychologies such as Gestalt) is more of a Western concept. There are Eastern philosophies thousands of years older which have more insight into the process of illness through the efforts of our mind.

No >_> They actualy found bacteria that causes most illnesses. Bacteria is independent of our life, and hence has nothing to do with our thinking.
