Assalamu Alaikom
In the name of Allah the most merciful,
Because sohoor is a meal that will compensate the needs of the body for a long number of hours, people need to get all the essential nutrients while having sohoor and in the same time limit to small easy foods like sandwitches, soup, salads ( normal, taboola, fatoosh, baba ghanoog, teheena) because eating other than that might cause the person to be sleepy the next day and feel hungry.
Other than beans, it is a must to have eggs, cheese( with all of its kinds), vegetables (+ beans for me). You could also save some food from iftar or from the meal you eat in between( which some people do) for the sohoor.
The prophet( SAWS) told his people as a suna to have the sohoor as late as you can before fajr and have iftar as soon as you can after the calling for maghreb prayer (Islam is a religion of ease)
Try also getting dates( tamr) and having iftar with it which is suna, and believe me my advice it to have a date/milk drink, it is the best drink in the world, everyone should try on iftar, I think you make it by bringing the dates and removing the inner core and putting them in the milk (as large pieces), put sugar, leave for in the refregirator and then it is ready, it is drank by putting it in a cup and eating the pieces of dates with the spoon, I am not sure that this way is right (it is my prediction) but I may ask my mom if anyone is interested for the right way and believe me it is the best drink + sunna.
Let us not forget our neighbours or the poor people near us by sending them a dish of what we have for today to share us, these small things bring all people together and they become more friendly, ramadan is for sharing food not for feeling hungry, it is for love and not for having one more hour to sleep from work,
I hope my information was useful
Good luck
Asalamu Allaikom

It's God's finest weapon and it turns pleasant and robust thinkers and suppose tanks into better fools. It was once released within the New York instances entrance web page that no longer even God would sink the Titanic, however that tanker sunk ! Then there may be the movement photograph "Sea Biscuit" in opposition to all odds the little brown horse overcomes the admiral the colossal black horse in a horse race. One of my all time favorites. It strikes a chord in my memory of the tale of David and Goliath. But take a look at telling a witch or a christian that the supernatural does not exist and one will begin stirring the black pot up and placed a wart for your nostril, even as the opposite one will begin flipping the pages of the Bible and dam you to Hell. It's colossal industry!

Try cucumber with white cheese , yoghurt, tea and bread. You have to try beans in another way than the traditional one ( oil & lemon ). Try beans with butter, salt & pepper in addition to billed eggs & pry for me for this recipe. Ramadan Kareem to all !!!!!
