You don't. It is illogical to believe that any human would experience a conscious, cognitive or emotional state, only one state and forever.

Even the most peaceful and contented person will experience irritation or annoyance if you hit him in the head with a rock. Even the most holy religious person is going to get ticked off. Good thing we didn't hear Mother Teresa or the Pope behind closed doors.

These irrational beleifs are what keeps any addict searching for never-ending happiness. It is unrealistic and illogical.

The longer you pay attention to what is bad, sad, wrong, upsetting, etc. the less happy you will be. If you can get past these things without having to take a long time dealing internally and externally with them, you can take more time focusing on what is good.

As my grandfather told me "From the day you were born til you ride in a hearse, theres nothing so bad that it couldn't be worse."
