If you are having problems at school you have your parents and counselors who can help you. It doesn't matter what the problem pertains to (kids at school, medical, family or personal) they will refer you to the right people to help you. Leave your mind open to their suggestions and try doing what they say even if you don't agree.
The best experiences and memories are made during your school years. I regret not graduating and not going to the prom with my friends. A GED is a lot harder to get than going to high school and it will make a difference because university's look at a GED and will figure you took the easy way out and think you may not be able to handle the heavy work load that college courses require. I know in my heart you will make the right decision because you don't sound like a quitter to me.
Just remember this little fact: Minimum wage jobs go to people with little or no education. Higher wage jobs go to people with college education.

Get the real thing. You will forever kick yourself if you do not. Nothing....nothing is worth dropping out.
When I was in high school there was a girl that got pregnant our sophomore year (she was 16). Her parents kicked her out so she went to live with her boyfriend. About a month before the baby was born he kicked her out. She had no where to go. She had basically nothing, other than clothes. She loved with a friend for 2 months. After the 6 weeks she got a job and moved out on her own. She went to school and worked full time....and graduated. She really didn't get to spend a lot of time with the baby, but she had wonderful friends who helped her a long the way. And she graduated, knowing she did it all herself, for her and her baby. To me she is simply an amazing person.
I really didn't know her, I graduated with almost 650 other people, but every time I feel that life gets tough, I think of her. How young she was, how much will she had, and how hard she worked.
Don't drop out. You have less than 9 months. Whatever your circumstances are, you can make it work.

Don't drop out! It's not worth it, especially if you are already a senior. Try and see if there is a way to fix or make those "rough happenings" even a little better. Perhaps you should speak to a counselor at your school about what is going on and he or she can help you. You're almost done, hang in there! Good luck!!! :)

Did you ever hear of cyber school?
Instead of dropping out, maybe you could finish your senior
year at a cyber school.
Also, if you cannot do a cyber school, maybe you will want to
get your ged from job corp.
It is federally funded and after getting your ged, they will
pay for 2 years of a community college, or job training on sight. (The campus)
You have to go through some hassles but it was worth it for
my son.
Toughing it out is another option, but depends on your attitude. Do you really believe you will not be able to attend your highschool and stay healthy and out of trouble?

A GED is never thought of as highly as a true graduation from high school. Stick it out and get your high school degree. Otherwise, you'll get a job and put off getting the GED...happens all the time!

it is soo silly that after 12 to 13 years of schooling kids want to drop out when they have ONE MORE YEAR LEFT, i will never understand that. getting your GED is another thing, take that if you want to get out of school so badly but dont drop out and then take it becuase you may not pass it the first time, if you can't whats happening in school then change schools

Dropping out isn't worth it man, in the long run it just messes you up. Stay in school, get that **** over with and its your free choice to go to collage. Stay through highschool man.
