During the era of Queen Victoria, there was a kind of backlash of prudery & people were expected to dress quite modestly. Many thought that Victoria herself was a great prude, but she apparently had several lovers. The secret was that behind the outward appearance of a prudish & not terribly attractive monarch there was a real and sexual woman. That's why the lingerie company uses the name.

That she is making a lot of money off of panties and bras that you can go to some Easy Pickins or Mandees or whatever place that may sell nice bras&panties for about $3 or less-and still get the same quality. But, because they have that label on it, they charge a little more. That is her secret.
