First and foremost I didn't like the US before when there were still US bases in the Philippines. They were using our land for free which is too small for over populated 3rd world country. Let's accept it there is always a bested interest in everything they do. I didn't mean the president but everyone who makes decision on war. But I admire Americans when it comes to charity they really are big contributors and they care.

This is a very interesting question, in very interesting times. The fact is that America is used to being loved and finds the idea of its being hated very hurtful. From an outsider's point of view, the idea that one's country is hated by some is taken as read. One expects it and can sometimes wholeheartedly agree with it. Americans are often incredulous at the idea that their system isn't perfect, and don't take kindly to criticism from the outside. In a way, this is a result of their remarkable cohesion. There really is a sense of all the states being part of a greater whole, something the states of Europe will never achieve. So, yes, there is an element of jealousy in the political idea of widespread community. And yet, what does America seem like now to the rest of the world? Like a gigantic Eric Cartman, that's what. Get used to not being liked, and acknowledge that countries outside the USA have a reality beyond how you happen to define them, even those in the Axis of Evil (a term that could only ever have come out of America). But also, thank you for Roosevelt, jazz, Woody Allen and bubblegum.

I speak for myself, I do not dislike U.S.A. , in fact as a concept, I love the freedom and opportunities implied in the american dream (The land of opportunities they call it), but I must confess that some americans I've come to know feel superior. Of course I do not like to feel humilliated, moreover at home (In my own country I mean). That's what I hate from U.S.A. Some americans feel better than anyone else in the world (Note that I say SOME and not ALL of them) I know also fine people from U.S.A.

Have you ever seen something in a person's disposition that caused you to dislike the person but later got to know that person & became friends?
The world over, people often base opinions of America on a few outward "appearances" -- religious difference, general wealth, p-o-l-i-t-i-c-i-a-n-s ?!, (no wonder they hate us), etc.
They often don't really get to know us as persons before making these decisions to hate us. Of course, if then, if a very different culture or religion that many dislike here, they get mad about that, I suppose, while not thinking about that they, themselves, probably do not give our religion or culture much of a chance, either.

Lots of people don't like the "big dog on the block." They consider us bullies, are jealous of our "blessings," and besides, it's always more fun to root for the underdog.

Have a great day!

who cares? We advise the press to make us out as a bunch of militant monsters with heavy artilary and wife beaters and we shoot every third person.
So people will stop immigrateing here in droves. Ruining our economy. If the rest of the world would leave us alone we would do just fine.
