Which do you believe?

Do you believe the majority of questions asked on Y!A are asked by people who make up dilemmas and situations just to see the reactions they can get?

OR

Do you believe they are valid questions and that the people asking really are in the situations they describe and are truly looking for help?

Why? Do you have any examples to share to back up your opinions?

I think YA has its fair share of trolls and it's funny that a lot of people have no idea that they are not being serious. YA is good for serious questions AND it's good for amusement. Sometimes it's amusing to ask stupid questions so that you can get a rise out of people and listen to their stupid answers. Not that i've ever done that... ;)

I only ask questions that are real and ones that I really would like peoples answers to.

I have read some very interesting posts and some very sad posts. These I feel are for real. Then there are times that i read some seriously sick posts and hope that these people are only just making it up because if I was to believe otherwise, I would be very much doubting the human race.

I now the answers I have received have been honest ones.

I think you have to take your answers that you receive , read them but don't make them the reasons you reach any decisions.

I cant speak for others on here, but I have asked a lot of questions that I really wanted answers to and actually needed help with something. But then again, I have asked some silly questions just because I was bored.

Well, honestly, most of the time, i ask questions that are valid in helping me solve an issue. but sometimes i have an agenda and just ask questions to see people's reactions. Thats the funny thing about the anonymity of the internet. It allows people to do whatever they want.

well i think it's 50/50 really. some ppl do just ask questions just to see the reactions they can get, maybe they're bored and Stupid, but then again the ppl that are truly looking for help always seem to ask boring and stupid questions.
what im trying to say is that the ppl that make up the questions always seem to make something up about the drama at school, boyfriend problems and things like that, which is the kind of question that most ppl like answering.
u get where im coming from??? cuz i've confused myself...lol

I think most are valid... I know I don't make things up, if I have a problem or need some advice, I ask on here... I like the input of other people, sometimes they see things that I don't.

I think MOST of the questions are valid ones that people really need help with. This section has alot of ridiculous questions that aim for lots of answers but in Y!A in general there are definitely more serious and valid questions. If you hand out in this section you would think that most of Y!A is like this but its really not. P&S is just unique! =D

I think that most people who ask question are really in the situation... there are only a few that just do it for fun

I think it's a mixture. I've seen some of the stupidest questions asked by people who are obviously serious. I've seen questions asked that are obviously not meant to be taken seriously, but some of the answerers flip out and say "what, are you retarded?".
