The battery.
Batteries are required for cars, watches, pacemakers, calculators, plane instruments, and flashlights. They are even required to power the computers for the internet.
The (battery powered) cell phone alone has had more impact than the internet.
WIthout the battery, we'd be stuck somewhere around 1840 in technology, culture, and health.
But the invention with the highest impact: written language

Although the battery was very important in the deveopement of modern technology the internet ihad a much greater impact on mankind. internet revolutionized communication in the world and with out it, the world would be a much bigger place. The internet has pratically demolished every single physical feature on a map when comes to communicating with other people. Also news on events can be delivered to the world in a matter of minutes after it happens.

It has to be the internet. The internet is a medium where people exchange ideas so while the battery has been around, it has been slow to evolve its technology. Now the internet comes along, people talk and discuss how to improve batteries (and a whole lot more)!

The Internet.
Batteries have been around for a long time and they still aren't that great. They don't last long enough and they are made out of materials that pollute our environment.
The Internet has been around for less than 20 yrs and it has already taken over the globe.

Good ? ...I seem to agree the Internet mostly because it allows people to reach out to others easily, It helps businesses to run smoothly, super quick responses world wide. It allows multitudes of information for anything you want to research, you can take college classes from home.educate yourself in your underwear if you want to, There are definitely downsides to the internet, but also education beyond belief in seconds!!! Batteries are also very important in our lives as well, hard choice.

whoa- good question. i think of the 'value' of a difficulty must be relativized. What makes it significant? i might decide value by the better wellbeing of the broadest numbers of persons/animals/flora. The historic materialism of Karl Marx gave humanity a minimum of portion of the framework to correctly known how the international works. temporarily, there are human beings working and there are human beings controlling the region wherein persons artwork, and the purpose of earnings is ultimately extra risky (to human beings and the planet) than that's powerful. it is probably no longer what you're searching for, and that's no longer the final notice, yet i think of it speaks on your question.

Sounds philosophical to me...you could say the internet needs electricity, batteries make it , but then perhaps they are both equally important in their own rights?

That's a good one, but I say neither.
I think it was the printing press. Before that no one but royalty and a few religious leaders could read...
