I have a sister who has recently decided that she wanted to start going to a catholic church. I don't judge ppl based on their religion bc we are MORMON. We know what it's like to be persecuted for our religion so we never do it. The problem is this. 3 years ago she was real active in the church and she judged me all the time for the things I did. I'm not a very good mormon but I stick true to what I believe in and no one will ever change my mind about it ever. She always told me I need to get back into going and that I need to stop being so selfish. She stopped going after 2 years and started drinking and smoking....... again. I know she wants to change her religion but it's only bc her b/f isn't mormon. And bc he isn't mormon they can't get married in the temple where mormons get married. Should I tell her its wrong to turn your back on your beliefs and faith all in the name of love or should I just keep my mouth shut and not be a hater? HELP

She isn't turning her back on her beliefs - she is turning her back on YOUR beliefs and you do sound like you are quietly judging her.

She sounds like she is exploring her beliefs - as every person OUGHT to do if they are honest to themselves.

Just because you are born into a family's faith doesn't mean that their faith fits you as if it were some magic dust that falls upon you.

Or do you think it is better for a person to lie to themselves and pretend the faith they practice feels and fits how they REALLY are feeling inside - and thus be a hypocrite as many other religious folks are?

Love her as your sister. Wish her happiness and do not judge her.

Unfortunately, I can't do that. Your sister is heading in the right direction -out of the church. It may not be for the right reason, but getting out of the Mormon church is always right to do.
It is run by false prophets and teaches wrong things about God according to the bible.

I agree with the other answers here. It is fine for her to try out another religion what is your religion may not be hers. Who knows you might want to try out hers once she finds one. Good luck

It's not your business, really. If she finds true faith in another denomination, you should be happy for her.
