its something very hard for me to want to remember...i remember every smell, every tear, every phone call...my brother was in the building when it went down. i hate thinking about it. it is sooo painful to remember...but i still always will...every 9-11. i light candles on my porch and me and my friends go out on the street corner with candles and get people to honk. it really depresses me but..i know i can never forget that day

I cant believe so many people gave such smart *** answers! a special smile to those that actually answered the question with the respect that it deserves......

I will never forget that day, I worked at a casino and no one was gambling that day all the workers and patrons eyes were on the various TVs spread through out the casino...I have never heard such silence. And silence is how i will remember it. I will remember all the men women and children aboard every plane...the two that crashed into the world trade center, one at the Pentagon, and the one that crashed in Pennsylvania...The lives of the people that worked in the world trade center, the NYFD, and those at the Pentagon. And i will thank every veteran i see not only today but everyday for fighting for my freedom and especially those that are fighting now in Iraq and Afghanistan

Ill never forget that day. I was a junior in high school and first period was almost over. We went down to break and people were talking about how one of the towers got hit but didnt think much of it...thought it was an accident at first...then in second period we watched the 2nd plane fly into the other tower. Nobody knew what was going on but once I realized I couldn't believe it. I went out that night to the gas station. Our town put out a special edition paper for 9/11 and I still have it. I will always keep it. What a horrible day...nobody should have ever gone through that.

I remember every single thing that happened that day. I even remembered what my mom packed me for lunch. I was in second grade and i heard my mom talking on the phone with her friend, saying, "people are saying it's an accident, but we'll just see...." and then i had breakfast (toast with cinnamon and butter) and when i was waiting for my sister to get ready, and i saw the second plane crash on the news. I didn't really think it was that bad for some reason, i didn't really know that anybody got hurt (yeah, i was a stupid second grader) And i went to school, and my teacher kept on talking about it all through the day, and i didn't get why everybody was upset, until a few years later.

In two separate ways. I say a silent prayer and spend a few moments in silence for all the people who gave and lost their lives on 9/11. It was a tragedy and I don't think the country is anywhere near healing yet. The second way is on a happier note. 9/11/63 is my Husband's birthday. He has made a vow that on each year he will ask for peace for the families that lost loved ones or those who are still suffering from the attack. Then we have cake, and ice cream and karaoke and have fun. He didn't pick his bday and he is such a good guy!!!!

Pray for the lives that were lost.....I remember vividly being off that day painting my child's room and hearing that on the TV....I thought, "Oh no, another foreign country hit", and then when I walked into the living room and saw that it was this country, I lost it.
It is also my stepdaughter's birthday, and yesterday she told me, "I really feel sad on my birthday every year because people remember what happened on that day", and in a way she is totally right; no one needs to EVER forget what happened on that day.

Sadly. I think it will always be a sad day in America and in the hearts of any caring person. I can't believe so many people made irreverent comments. Some things just aren't funny and you look foolish to try.

Our Army Reserves unit full time staff actually goes to the local school and reads to students etc. They get to see some trucks and ask all kinds of questions. It is a neat little thing that the kids like.
