I put all the change in a big jar and when it gets really heavy, I store it in a closet and start filling a new jar!
I'm saving jars for a time of need...let's say in case my husband ever cheats...I'll have my really heavy jars to throw on his head!
Is this practical thinking or is this practical thinking?:-)

I put it in a jar and when it's full I roll the change and take it to the bank then put it into my savings account which is for my nephews college. (not just the change I do put other money as well)

I put it into a chocolate box in my desk drawer. At the end of every month, my wife and I roll it up and cash it. It's always more than enough for a really romantic, nice night out for just the two of us. Nice bottle of wine, nice restaurant and a nice show. And I'm not talking about a movie. Usually a nice jazz club or live performance. Even a play or Broadway show every now and then. Last year, we saw the blue man group with our pocket change.

I keep a few bucks worth of change in my truck, and use it all the time. I keep about a buck of mixed change in my pocket, so when I'm at the store I don't have to break more bills. I also have a little statue I got from my grandmother that I put the rest of it in. When it gets full I take it in to the bank and get bills out of it for lunch or something like that.

I save it for a couple of yrs. and vacation on it. I saved 3 yrs. worth of silver, wound up going to mertil beach, for a week. hotel, gas, golf, dinners, bars and gifts. All were "paid" for a vacation for 2. There was even money left over to get about $200.00 in change to start on it again.( By the way we drove from Wisc. to north carolina to see the country side)

It goes in a jar and eventually my wife takes it to this change machine. What the machine does instead of giving you money, offers you a selection of money off coupons worth more than the total amount of change. For instance five dollars may get you a seven dollar Starbucks coupon. Ten dollars may yield a fifteen dollar coupon at a local restaurant. The more the worth of the change the higher the value of the coupon.

She gets them mostly for a local restaurant that my son and his wife like and then she gives them to my son so they get to eat out for free or nearly so.

My husband and I saved change for several years, then we got in a bind for money. After we rolled all the change, we had $140.00. I save it in a jar on my desk.
