I'll agree with the authors that this one will raise many hackles among the conservatives.

I think that article is accurate. Cons are some of the most confused, ignorant, scared, gullible, uniformed people out there. Their standard response for anytime they look bad is "liberal biased". Stephen Colbert said it best, "Reality has a well known liberal bias."

So the conservatives have been saying for years that liberalism is a mental disease and now in response the left is presenting scientific evidence that the conservatives are the ones with the brain malfunctions..

Aren't both sides being equally childish?

Scientists have also determined that gay people's brains may have an area that is different from straight people's brains.

What a minute: Mark Foley, Senator Craig, Ted Haggart, Bob Allen; maybe there is a bit of an overlap...

Some of the traits associated with right-wingers in that review were decidedly unflattering, including fear, aggression, tolerance of inequality and lack of complexity in their thinking. That -- along with the fact that it lumped Ronald Reagan and other political conservatives in with Adolf Hitler -- evoked outrage from conservative pundits.

Isn't that interesting? Considering how many bile filled conservatives tell liberals on here that they are a reincarnation of Hitler. Good article, and it makes sense too. I know that these kinds of studies have been done before, but I have never contemplated using political persuasion to complete the test.

Did you read the whole thing? It also said that liberals could be disoganized and drawn to ambiguity.

The REAL question HERE should be, "Can Conservativism Be CURED?"

Or should we just pity our poor, unevolved brethren and ship them off to some large island all outfitted with post-Katrina trailers and they can inbreed and hate someone for their melanin content forevermore, happy and completely unaware that there are billions of people on the planet who, contrary to what our caveman-like "special" brothers and sisters think, couldn't care less whether they live as Christian, Muslim or at the zoo, trying to bang koala bears. They just want us to stop bombing them long enough for them to go food shopping.

thats not true! conservatives like all people have a reason for their opinion just like liberals do. im an extremely open minded person but i have my set of beliefs like everyone else in the world and i stand by them, but i don't tell others that they are wrong just because they don't think like i do. those are the people that like to call "assholes."

kk thanks!

Same answer today as yesterday (same question don't know who asked).

Garbage in. Garbage out. We learned it from computers. Someone should tell the researchers that humans process information differently because they take in different information.

Humans develop differently and at different rates depending on many factors.

It's a Nature and Nurture thing.
