Yes divide two out of everything
Right now you have 2x^2+2x so divide two out of everything and get
x^2+1

the answer in steps

2x(x+1)
then you do the distributive property
(2x+2x)
which equals
4x

From the above answers I am now confused. I came up with x = 4.
I guess someone now will try to say x = something different. :-D
I would go with the second answer, though he/she not know what x = he/she is getting close. ;-)
