b) (48, 36, 27,..., 6561/1024)


Find the 6th term for the following:

a) (21, 9, 27/7, 81/49,...) Leave in fractional form

a) 11 -- Multiply each term by 3

b) 7 -- Mulitply each term by 3/4

c) 729/2401 is the 6th term -- Multiply each term by 3/7.

a) 11 terms
pattern multiply by 3
divide the last term by 4=59049=3^10
take the exponent. add 1=# of terms

b) 8 terms
pattern multiply by 3/4
after 27 u get 81/4 then later 1024=4^5
take the exponent and there r three terms before it. (this is because the 4 starts after the 27 not in the beginning)



a) pattern multiply by 3/7
81/49*3/7*3/7=729/2401
